USS Lassen (DDG 82) commanding officer, Cmdr. Marshall B. Brown, takes part in a news conference with local media during Lassen's port visit to Oita, Japan. Lassen's visit marks the first time in three years a U.S. Navy ship has visited Oita. The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer is forward deployed to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, and is part of Destroyer Squadron 15 operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
