Major San Miguel, Oregon Army National Guard Civil Support Team introduces Lt. Gen. Tran Quang Khue, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Committee for Search and Rescue and Deputy Chief of the General Staff, People’s Army of Vietnam and his staff to some of the tools the Oregon National Guard uses during search and rescue and emergency response situations June 9, 2001 at the Larry Diebert Flight Facility in Salem, Ore. Khue and his staff are part of a historic visit to Oregon. The Vietnamese delegation will also visit National Guard Bureau, Washington D.C. and Pacific Command Headquarters in Hawaii. This mission will assist the Vietnamese to make an informed decision about requesting participation in the State Partnership Program.
