NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 29, 2018) Gunner's Mate 2nd Class David Scoville, from Seattle, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) weapons department, receives his frocking letter from Cmdr. Joel Thompson, Ford’s gun boss, during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s weapons handling area. More than 125 Ford Sailors advanced from the Fall 2018 Navy-wide advancement exam.
