ARLINGTON, Va. (Dec. 7, 2018) The U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard carries the remains of Navy Seaman 1st Class William Bruesewitz to his grave at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Dec. 7, 2018. Bruesewitz was killed aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma (BB 37) during the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and is laid to rest on the 77th anniversary of the battle. Bruesewitz, 26, of Appleton, Wisconsin, was aboard Oklahoma when the ship was attacked by Japanese aircraft. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced in November that Bruesewitz was accounted for on March 19 and his remains were being returned to his family for burial with full military honors.
