Soldiers with the 60th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion train with Customs and Border Patrol in Douglas, Arizona, Dec 13. The mobile field force training exercise allowed the Soldiers and CBP personnel to reinforce their competency on the standing rules for the use of force. Department of Defense military personnel will not be conducting law enforcement functions, but are authorized to provide force protection for Customs and Border Protection personnel and help make sure CBP personnel can perform their assigned Federal functions. U.S. Northern Command is providing military support to the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to secure the southern border of the United States.
