Maj. Gen. (NC) Greg Lusk, Adjutant General of the NC National Guard makes a point during the Intelligence Operations Seminar held at the Botswana Defence Force Headquarters on Nov. 15. Lusk along with Maj. Gen. Edward Leacock (r) of the Defense Intelligence Agency led the discussion with over forty BDF senior leaders during this AFRICOM sponsored visit. The U.S. delegation included Army Col. Andrew Frank of the Theater Intelligence Group and Marine Col. Patrick Looney of AFRICOM’s Joint Operations Center. The broad operational and intelligence backgrounds of these officers provided a platform to discuss the interrelation of operations and intelligence for successful outcomes with their BDF counterparts. The NCNG is partnered with Botswana in the National Guard State Partnership Program.
