Southern Botswana- Maj. Gen. (NC) Greg Lusk, Adjutant General of the NCNG discusses importance of border operations with a Botswana Defence Force officer on Botswana’s southern border. Lusk along with Maj. Gen. Edward Leacock of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Army Col Andrew Frank of the Theater Intelligence Group and Marine Col. Patrick Looney of AFRICOM’s Joint Operations Center were in Botswana for several days in November to discuss the interrelation of military operations and military intelligence. The AFRICOM sponsored visit included an operational visit to BDF units in the field conducting security operations. After receiving an update brief the American delegation visited an outpost where soldiers stand vigilant to interdict illegal activity.
