More than 1,500 paratroopers showed up to Pope Army Air Field as early as 1:30 a.m. to participate in the lottery portion of the 14th Annual Randy Oler Memorial Operation Toy Drop, Dec. 9. There were 2,500 parachutes up for the lottery. Hosted by the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), Operation Toy Drop is the largest combined airborne operation in the world.
