181218-N-GP548-0024 MIAMI (December 18, 2018) A student from the secondary school, Terra Environmental Research Institute sees how many pull-ups he can do at the “Nimitz,” which is the Navy's Virtual Reality Experience. The experience consists of going through a series of exercises, starting with a briefing, before participating in a virtual high-speed water extraction of a Navy SEAL team that is pinned down under enemy fire. The Nimitz is being used by Navy Recruiting Command’s “Swarm Team,” which is compiled of 55 Recruiters from Navy Recruiting Command, Navy Recruiting Leadership Academy, Navy Recruiting District Miami and selected Recruiters of the Year as part of a new recruiting strategy in support of the national policy to build a 355-ship Navy.
