Sunburst Youth Challenge Academy Cadet Dylan Oliver looks out into the crowd after receiving his high school diploma during a graduation ceremony for the academy's 22nd class, Dec. 7, 2018, in Los Alamitos, California. More than 180 cadets completed the academy's five and a half month residential phase, and 34 cadets also earned their high school diplomas. Sunburst, which is located at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, is one of three National Guard Youth Challenge programs facilitated by the California Military Department, and is the only Challenge campus in Southern California.
