EAST CHINA SEA (Jan. 12, 2019) - The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force amphibious transport dock ship JS Kunisaki (LST 4003) transits alongside the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a cooperative deployment with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (ARG). Wasp, flagship of Wasp ARG, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
