190124-N-SA412-1304 EAST CHINA SEA (Jan 24, 2019) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Matthew Mosteller, from Charlotte, N.C., clears the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) after removing chocks and chains from a CH-53E Super Stallion heavy-lift helicopter, assigned to the “Flying Tigers” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced). Wasp, flagship of Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
