A 41st Rescue Squadron HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter ‘hard crew’ poses for a photo, Jan. 11, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. To optimally perform their Combat Search and Rescue mission downrange, the 347th Rescue Group implemented the advanced training ‘hard crew’ system, which unifies the 38th and 41st RQS’s into separate rescue operator teams that’ll fly every mission together for their upcoming deployment. This concept establishes continuity and chemistry which will help maximize the 38th and 41st RQS’s mission readiness by simultaneously working together to build relationships and understand each other’s idiosyncrasies, strengths, and weaknesses to ultimately improve the team’s performance in mission execution.
