190130-N-SA412-0002 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 30, 2019) -- The amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) approaches the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Wasp, flagship of Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
