Steave Barness, chief of recreation division, Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, speaks Dec. 15 during a ground breaking ceremony for the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex. The shooting complex will be located on Fort Carson, adjacent to gate 20, near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by the summer.
