A shovel rests at a construction site for the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex Dec. 15, where El Paso County, 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson leadership had just broke ground. The shooting complex will be located on Fort Carson, adjacent to gate 20, near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by the summer.
