Sgt. David Lam, right, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Lt. Col. Matthew Mulvey, left, on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 1, 2019. Lam received the medal for being one of seven Marines who quickly responded in aid of a U.S. Airman who was in a motorcycle accident Dec. 31, 2018.
