Chavous Nichols III, commander of the 878th Engineer Company, addresses his soldiers as well as their friends and family during the unit’s redeployment ceremony at the Bethlehem Church in Gastonia, N.C.. The 878th has a long history of service to its state and country. They’ve provided flood relief and road repairs in response to hurricane flooding in S.C. in 2015 and N.C. in 2016.
