U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Mauricio Varonmoncayo participates in a 2,000-meter race against fellow U.S. Marines and Sailors during a Scout Swimmers Course at Camp Hansen Aquatics Center, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 28, 2019. The Scout Swimmers Course provides the Marines and Sailor the ability to conduct long-distance swimming and water rescue techniques and secure beach and landing zones in support of the operation.
