190301-N-LN093-1131 SAN DIEGO (Mar. 1, 2019) Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) transits the San Diego Bay. USS Rushmore (LSD 47), of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, returned to its homeport of San Diego following a successful eight-month deployment to the U.S. 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
