Machine gunner Lance Cpl. Thien Le holsters a magazine during live-fire training Jan. 16. The 19-year-old Houston native is a member of Company L, Battalion Landing Team 3/1, which is the ground combat element of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The unit is currently deployed as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts here.
