    22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit

    190310-M-YD783-1032 GULF OF OMAN (March 10, 2019) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Colton Glasson, a motor transport mechanic with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, fills a Humvee battery with battery fluid in the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Glasson filled the batteries in preparation for an upcoming training exercise. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
