Soldiers in the 204th Military Police Company isolate mock casualties in a casualty collection point during a simulated casualty evacuation exercise in a week-long exercise from Dec. 5 to Dec. 9. The exercise included a simulated helicopter crash for training in triage, crowd control, and first aid. The 204th and other elements of 1st MEB are currently assigned in support of the Joint Task Force Civil Support, Defense Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Response Force. The DCRF is a total force of about 5,400 personnel consisting of primarily Army with augmentation from other services and civilians from active-duty, National Guard and reserve units, who deploy as the Department of Defense’s initial response force for a CBRNE incident.
