Keegan Merlino, a squad leader with Legion Company, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade designates sectors of fire prior to a medium machine gun shoot during joint training with Israeli Defense Force paratroopers Mar. 12 in Israel. The training involved rifle marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat techniques, and other physical competitions designed to hone infantry skills. Legion company is currently deployed to Israel in support of a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system deployment to the area.
