YIGO, Guam (March 8, 2019) Seabees from US Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, onboard Andersen Air Force Base, complete Cope North 19 Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR), an annual multilateral field training exercise of the Air force. The overall goal of RADR is to fill 37 craters utilizing 4 teams to maintain airfields capable of aircraft launching and recovery within 6.5 hours. Seven Seabees from NMCB 133, underwent this joint training field exercise, allowing both Seabees and Airmen to sharpen and master RADR mission essential skills and techniques.
NMCB-133 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
