    Col. Ben Skardon, a 1938 graduate of Clemson University, WWII POW, recipient of two Silver Stars, and survivor of the Bataan Death March, came to White Sands Missile Range, N.M. to walk in the Bataan Memorial Death March for the 12th time, March 17, 2019. He is 101 years old, and the only survivor of the actual death march to walk in the memorial march. After he retired from the Army, he came back to Clemson and taught English until his retirement in 1982. (Photo by Ken Scar)
