A U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division sits in a guard position providing a rear defense in the event of a rear assault by the enemy during a deployment for training at Fort Irwin, California, March 10, 2019. The Marines of 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion participated in National Training Center 19-05 as the opposing force against the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
