190314-N-RU084-1002 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (Mar. 14, 2019) – Capt. David McAlister (right), commander, Naval Construction Group 1, observes Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 conduct an airfield damage repair (ADR) exercise on Vandenberg Air Force Base, California in support of Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). The ADR exercise tests the Seabee unit’s ability to assess and repair runways enabling continued support to Navy and Marine Corps operations. PacBlitz19 provides realistic, relevant training necessary for effective global crisis response and provides reassurance to U.S. regional partners and allies of enduring commitment to regional stability.
