TAJI MILITARY COMPLEX, Iraq –Task Group Taji 8 Chief of Staff and New Zealand Senior National Officer, Operation Manawa, Lieutenant Colonel Darren Beck addresses mourners at the Taji Military Complex chapel, Iraq, March 17, 2019. Soldiers from the across the Coalition gathered to attend a service for the victims of the Christchurch, New Zealand terrorist attack. Coalition Forces in attendance are all a part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, which works with partner forces to defeat Daesh and combat violent extremism, setting the conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability. Lt. Col. Beck told mourners CJTF-OIR comprises thousands of people united in a common mission to promote the international rule of law and collective security.
