Soldiers from across the Coalition gathered together at the Taji Military Complex chapel, Iraq, March 17, 2019, to attend a service for the victims of the Christchurch, New Zealand terrorist attack. The attack took place on Friday, March 15, 2019. Coalition forces in attendance are all a part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, which works with partner forces to defeat Daesh and combat violent extremism, setting the conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
