Equipment Operator 2nd Class Tyrif Wells, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 23 embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV-2) Swift, and a Peruvian combat engineer, smooth the walls at Escuela Pronoie Nuevo Despertar Mis Primeros Pasitos in Zona De Acapulco. The Seabees are working with Peruvian combat engineers from Base Naval De Callao and Brigada Infanteria De Marina De Ancon during HSV-Southern Partnership Station. Southern Partnership Station is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
