U.S. Army Sgt. Trevor Guenard and Philippine Air Force Tech. Sgt. Paterno Sazon Jr. work together to remove wooden molds used to pour cement columns in Pagasa, Bataan, Philippines, as part of Exercise Balikatan, March 25, 2019. Balikatan is an annual exercise between the U.S. and the Philippines and comes from a Tagalog phrase meaning "shoulder-to-shoulder," representing the partnership between the two countries. Exercises such as Balikatan increase our ability to work together in response to crises across the military spectrum in order to accomplish the mission and support the local population. Guenard, a Maple, Wis. native, is a combat engineer with 561st Engineering Support Company, 84th Engineering Battalion from Schofield, Hawaii. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Timothy Hernandez)
