ARABIAN GULF (March 22, 2019) A Mark 38 .25mm machine gun fires during a gunnery exercise aboard the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Chinook (PC 9). The Chinook is forward-deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
