Amphibious assault vehicles from 2nd Amphibian Assault Battalion depart the USS Kearsarge Feb. 6 for a beach assault during Exercise Bold Alligator. Bold Alligator utilized a Marine Expeditionary Brigade, which is three times larger than the traditional Marine Expeditionary Unit, allowing more Marines to become reacquainted with amphibious operations.
