Instrument Landing System installation ensures efficiency, safety

Tech. Sgt. Christoper Reagan, the European Regional Maintenance Center, Headquarters Air Force Flight Standards Agency team chief, connects the antennae cables for the instrument landing system on the runway glide slope tower at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Jan. 12, 2019. After Reagan’s 45 foot climb, Al Asad Air Base air traffic controllers will provide higher-quality data to incoming Coalition aircraft, increasing the safety of the expeditionary location while maintaining the fast-paced tempo of the fight against Daesh. The Coalition is in Iraq by invitation of, and operates in close coordination with, the Government of Iraq. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Elias Zani)
