Lt. Col. Travis Homiak delivers Cpl. Adam J. Buyes last military award to his parents during a memorial service for Buyes and Sgt. Daniel D. Gurr on Camp Schwab Feb. 3. Both Marines were killed in action during a deployment to Afghanistan with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Homiak is the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion commanding officer.
