ALCOCHETE, PORTGUAL (April 3, 2019) – U.S. Marine Sgt. Anthony Beem, an infantry squad leader with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, places an interior strip charge on a door at a dynamic breaching range during Instruction Exercise at the Alcochete Firing Range in Alcochete, Portugal, April 3, 2019. Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment took part in the training to sharpen and build their skills for combat. Elements from the 22nd MEU are participating in INSTREX in order to sustain combat readiness, execute amphibious operations, demonstrate interoperability and continue a strong partner relationship with our NATO ally.
