NORFOLK, Va. (April 10, 2019) – Kids learn about submarine science including buoyancy, demonstrated by peeled and unpeeled oranges, during a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics expo at Tabb Middle School, April 10. The STEM for Kids program makes science, technology, engineering and mathematics fun and real for children. The Submarine Force uses STEM to connect with children of all ages and teach them the science behind sonar, buoyancy, and periscope technology.
