Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. James T. Conway and Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. John L. Estrada meet with Marines from II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) (Fwd) to speak with and answer questions at the base theater in Al Asad, Iraq. Gen. Conway and Sgt. Maj. Estrada spoke about new military standards and what they expect from Marines today, as well as gave out coins to those selected. II MEF (Fwd) is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
