1st Battalion 12th Marine Regiment, Task Force Military Police (1/12 TFMP) Commanding Officer Stephen E. Lizsewski, prepares to unfold the 1/12 TFMP colors at the Transfer of Authority ceremony between 3rd Battalion 14th Marine Regiment to 1/12 TFMP at the Morale Welfare Recreation tent in Al Asad, Iraq. The ceremony took place to officially relieve 3/14 of their duties in Al Asad and put 1/12 in charge of operations for Task Force Military Police (TFMP). 1/12 TFMP is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
