Sgt. Daniel Mihuta, Company D, 1-12th Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, receives a certificate from Lt. Col. Morris Goins, his battalion commander, after being awarded the Army Commendation Medal with "V" device for valor during a ceremony at a patrol base in Baqubah, Iraq, Aug. 4. Mihuta was recognized for heroism and dedication to duty during Operation Turki Bowl II, a brigade-level operation in January.
