CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – (April 12, 2019) Aviation Mechanic 1st Class Jeff Cmar (left) of West Newton, Penn., and Staff Sgt. Chris Maxheimer of Mt. Pulaski, Ill., assigned to the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, pose with a future Blue Angels pilot during “Meet the Blues” held at Veterans Memorial High School. The Blue Angels are in the city to perform in the annual Wings Over South Texas Air Show aboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, April 13 – 14. The mission of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.
