Master Gunnery Sgt. Phil Mehringer from Multi-National Forces-West Public Affairs attached to Headquarters Battery, Second Battalion, 10th Marines Jump Command Post (2/10 Jump CP), photographs a patrol of the village of Al Fayil, Iraqi, July 16. The 2/10 and II Marine Expeditionary Force Personal Security Detachment are working together in the vicinity of Fallujah to strengthen relationships with the local population. The 2/10 is deployed with Multi-National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi security forces, democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market-based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
