190328-N-DB158-040 CINCINNATI (March 28, 2019) Crew members of the future USS Cincinnati (LCS 20) pose with members of the ship's commissioning committee in front of a ship replica float. The float was used in the 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade celebrating opening day for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. Cincinnati Sailors were in the city as a part of a namesake visit by the ship's crew. Littoral combat ships are high-speed, agile, shallow draft, mission-focused surface combatants designed for operations in the littoral environment, yet fully capable of open ocean operations.
