    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit       

    Mission Oriented Protective Posture suits, or MOPP gear, sit staged for training use during Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear defense training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 24, 2019. During the training, Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit rehearsed the fundamentals of CBRN defense to help mitigate the threat of exposure in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear contaminated areas. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
