U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Amber LaFlamme scans an MTVR 7-ton for accountability during a maritime prepositioning force (MPF) onload April 23, 2019 at Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines. The Marines loaded equipment onto the U.S.N.S. Pililaau (T-AKR-304) that was recently used for Exercise Balikatan 2019. The MPF allows Marines to move vehicles and utilities that are essential to complete missions throughout the Indo-Pacific. LaFlamme, a landing support specialists with Landing Support Company, 3rd Transportation Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, is a native of Rutland, Vermont.
