A member of engineering department takes a test sample of aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) during an AFFF countermeasure wash down aboard Nimitz-Class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), June 27. Lincoln is conducting sea trials following a nine-month dry-dock planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Wash. Sea trials will test Lincoln systems and crew in preparation for their return to full operational capability status.
