Sailors man a safety line around one of the four steam powered catapults aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) while conducting no-load test launches, June 27. Lincoln is conducting sea trials following a nine-month dry-dock planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Wash. Sea trials will test Lincoln systems and crew in preparation for their return to full operational capability status.
