Second Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters respond to an aircraft crash simulation for the Massive Accident Response Exercise at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 30, 2019. The MARE is practiced for the Defenders of Liberty airshow in order to guarantee all units are prepared in the event of a major incident. The scenario for the exercise included an aircraft collision in which two planes were involved, crashing on either side of the flight line, invoking emergency response.
