The exercise is the first Command Post Exercise since 2010 that integrated VBS2 (a program which enables training in a virtual digital world) with other simulation models to create a realistic scenario for the training unit. Coincidentaly, it is also the first CPX for a non-deploying unit in the last five years to receive a combined training support package.
